2023, How is the life over there?
(two-channel video installation HD 16:9, 12’10”)
The artwork portrays the journey of a young Russian man who is fleeing from a war. The visual component is shot simultaneously from two different perspectives, allowing the audience to experience the story through both English and Russian narratives (Traditional Mandarin translation is provided for the English narrative, and Simplified Mandarin translation is provided for the Russian narrative).
The work seeks to provide insight into the experiences of individuals who are forced to flee their homes due to war and conflict, and to create a sense of empathy and understanding for those who are often forgotten or overlooked in the broader narrative of war.
